Professors Paul J.Gollan (Macquarie University) and David Lewin (UCLA) announce a Call for Papers for a special issue of the journal Industrial Relations, published at the University of California at Berkeley. The theme of the special issue is “Employee Representation in Non-Union Firms.” Submissions can deal with various aspects of non-union employee representation, including specific representation arrangements and practices, employer strategies regarding employee representation in non-union firms, unions’ interests in and responses to non-union employee representation, legal regulation of non-union employee representation, and the effectiveness of non-union employee representation. We intend for the special issue to include a wide range of disciplinary perspectives on and global experiences with non-union employee representation as well as a wide range of research designs and analytical methods. In other words, we are casting a wide rather than narrow scholarly net in putting this special issue together. The deadline for submission of manuscripts for publication in this special issue is May 1, 2010. All manuscripts will undergo Industrial Relations’ regular anonymous refereeing process, which will occur and be completed within 60 days of receipt of a manuscript. The Editors of Industrial Relations intend for the special issue to be published in fall 2010. That issue will contain a minimum of six and a maximum of 10 papers. Please send an electronic copy of your manuscript for the special issue to all of the following: Professor Paul J. Gollan, Editor, Special Issue (paul.gollan@mq.edu.au) Professor David Lewin, Editor, Special Issue (david.lewin@anderson.ucla.edu) Professor Trond Petersen, Editor, Industrial Relations (trond@berkeley.edu) Professor Stephen Raphael, Editor, Industrial Relations (stephenraphael@berkeley.edu) 4 Comments |
