Philip Bohle and Michael Quinlan have been awarded two ARC grants which include PhD scholarships at the University of Sydney. One is a linkage grant on occupational health and safety in homecare (the advertisement link for this is http://sydney.edu.au/news/ageing_work_health/1433.html?newscategoryid=155&newsstoryid=7920) while the other is attached to a recently awarded discovery grant looking the OHS of precarious employment. Every year AIRAANZ allocates a small number of scholarships to PhD students presenting papers at its annual conference. The scholarships cover the cost of registration and provide some travel assistance. These scholarships are awarded using the following criteria:
 

·         
That applicants are enrolled in a postgraduate research degree at an Australian or New Zealand university
·          That applicants are a member of AIRAANZ
·          Applicants are presenting a paper at the AIRAANZ conference
·          Preference will be given to first time applicants
·          Preference will be given to full-time students

Preference will be given to those applicants that receive no other institutional assistance.
