This is an AIRAANZ sponsored symposium brought to you by the Gender & Diversity Research Group (AUT), the Women + Work Research Cluster (RMIT) and EDGE (Griffith).
This symposium is an opportunity to reflect on the growth in the number of women in IR (including academic leadership roles such as within AIRAANZ, editorial boards and the professoriate) and identify if issues raised by pre-eminent scholars in previous decades (for example, Forrest, 1993) still exist. It will also be a forum for women scholars (and others as they wish) to establish and cement supportive networks to continue the growth of both numbers of women, as well as critical gender scholarship in IR.
We are very pleased to announce a panel representing early, mid and established career researchers from both sides of the Tasman and the Northern Hemisphere: Professors Glenda Strachan, Marian Baird and Gill Kirton, Dr Julie Douglas and Nimbus Staniland. It will be facilitated by Associate Professor Cathy Brigden.
Registration is free, but numbers are limited. For more information or to register, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or Katherine.email@example.com
